about
I’ve always lived near the sea. First on the sun-drenched beaches of Southern California, now on the wind-swept coast of Southern Oregon, where the mornings are slower and the sea feels even closer. Salt & Pine began quietly here, during a season when life asked me to pause — to rest, and then begin again.
Years ago, a health crisis pulled me away from my fast-moving career in the music industry. Suddenly, I found myself home, healing, surrounded by stacks of old paper samples in my design studio and far more stillness than I was used to. To fill the quiet, I began hand-sewing journals — one after another. By the time I’d stitched my five-hundredth, I opened a tiny Etsy shop just to clear the shelves. But what I found was so much more than a way to make space — I found a new life.
Salt & Pine has grown slowly and intentionally from that early chapter. It’s now a place where I can share both the things I make and the pieces I’ve gathered — items that reflect my deep love for the sea and for a slower rhythm of coastal life: salt air mornings, well-worn cotton, vintage typewriters, secondhand books, sea-worn silver, and the kind of everyday beauty that doesn’t shout — it whispers.
My hope is that when you bring something home from Salt & Pine, it carries that quiet magic with it — that wherever you are, it brings you a little closer to the sea.
I keep creating because the sea teaches me something new every day — about beauty, simplicity, and finding joy in small moments. Through Salt & Pine, I get to share that rhythm with you.
