Flowers blowing in the wind at Bandon Beach, Oregon.

I’ve always belonged to the sea.

Not in a poetic way that sounds nice on paper—but in the way salt air settles into your skin and never really leaves.

The sea influences everything I create—from the naturally weathered materials I work with to the softened textures and quiet imperfections that make each piece feel one of a kind.

I’ve always been fascinated by sea glass—the range of color, the history it carries, and the journey it takes before reaching the shore. Each piece is shaped by movement and time, softened by the ocean until its edges are smooth and its surface holds traces of where it’s been.

I create from my studio overlooking the Pacific Ocean, working with sea glass, pearls, shells, and both found and vintage materials. Each piece of sea glass is naturally shaped by the sea, then lightly tumbled to highlight its color, texture, and form before being drilled and finished by hand.

There’s a natural rhythm to the way I create—guided by texture, balance, and variation. I work each piece intentionally, refining it until it feels complete.

Because for me, it all comes back to the same thing: the sea, and the way it shapes everything it touches. — KC
